About Us
Georgetown American University Foundation Inc. is a Georgia public non-profit charity organization, established by Dr. Melissa Varswyk, President and Cyril Fox, Vice President. Georgetown American University Foundation Inc., (GAUFI) purpose is to provide students Scholarship for STEM base Education, Technology and Training within Healthcare.
To assist with supportive services to help with application processing and access to continuum education benefits, life skill management, self-development, workshops, on the job training, and employment opportunities in the state of Georgia and abroad. In addition, the foundation assists in developing and increasing the facilities of the University for broader educational opportunities.
GAUFI prepares students for the local and international workforce in the aim to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 1 (no poverty) and 3 (good health and wellness) by 2030.

GAU Foundation provides full and partial scholarships and skill training grants to students in health sciences and technology. This will ensure that students from disadvantaged backgrounds are allowed to pursue careers in the health sciences and technology sectors. The current scholarship programs are publicized on the GAU Foundation website, social media platforms, university websites, and university social media platforms.
This Foundation was established and design after realizing that the main contributors to the University’s attrition rate were students who were unable to fulfill their financial commitments. In addition, to ensure that students receive a rewarding experience, there is a need for developing and increasing the facilities of the University for broader educational opportunities.
